On the faith of Mary
But how are we to imitate this Faith of Mary? Faith is at once a gift and a virtue. It is a gift of God, inasmuch as it is a light which God infuses into the soul; and then a virtue, as regards the exercise which the soul makes of it. Whence Faith has to serve us not only as a rule of believing, but also of acting.
