The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls’ Day)

On All Souls, the Church prays for all the faithful departed. Offer your prayers, sacrifices, and participation in the Mass for the souls in purgatory. Entrust them to the mercy of Jesus through Mary, and remember by name those who have gone before you.

On the faith of Mary

Faith · Read with the saints

But how are we to imitate this Faith of Mary? Faith is at once a gift and a virtue. It is a gift of God, inasmuch as it is a light which God infuses into the soul; and then a virtue, as regards the exercise which the soul makes of it. Whence Faith has to serve us not only as a rule of believing, but also of acting.
