The Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Saint Alphonsus teaches the love of Mary’s heart; Saint Louis de Montfort asks her to lend us that heart to receive Jesus.

Reparation to the Immaculate Heart

Lucia’s account of Pontevedra records the First Saturdays devotion: Confession, Holy Communion, five decades of the Rosary, and fifteen minutes of meditation on its mysteries, with the intention of reparation, over five consecutive First Saturdays. The shrine also records that Confession may take place on another day, with Communion received in the state of grace and the intention of reparation.

The heart filled with love

Ah, even the Seraphim, says Richard, might have come down from heaven to learn in the heart of Mary the manner of loving God: Seraphim e cælo descendere potuerant, ut amorem discerent in corde Virginis — The Seraphim might have descended from heaven to learn love in the heart of the Virgin.

Saint Alphonsus Liguori, The Glories of Mary, Part II, On the Charity of Mary towards God (excerpt)

Contemplate with Mary

You will beseech this good Mother to lend you her heart, in order to receive her Son there in her own dispositions.

Saint Louis de Montfort, True Devotion to Mary, §266 (excerpt)

Pray with the saints

I take you for my all. Give me your heart, O Mary!
