The year beneath her mantle

Our Lady of the Rosary

Saint Louis de Montfort teaches us to contemplate the mysteries of Jesus and Mary and to ask for their fruits.

Enter the mystery

The mysteries conform us to Jesus

Just as a painter, in order to draw a portrait from life, places the original before his eyes, and looks at it with every stroke of the brush he makes, so too the Christian must always have before his eyes the life and the virtues of Jesus Christ, so as to say nothing, think nothing, or do nothing that is not conformable to them.

Contemplate with Mary

Before beginning the decade, pause for a moment, more or less, according to your leisure, to consider the mystery that you are celebrating by the decade, and always ask, through this mystery and the intercession of the Blessed Virgin, one of the virtues that shine most brightly in this mystery or of which you will have the greatest need.

Saint Louis de Montfort, The Secret of the Rosary, Forty-fourth Rose (excerpt)

Pray with the saints

We pray to You, Lord Jesus, by the fifteen mysteries of Your life, death, Passion, and glory, and the merits of Your holy Mother, to convert sinners, to aid the dying, to deliver the souls in purgatory, and to give us all Your grace to live well and die well, and Your glory to see You face to face and to love You throughout eternity. Amen.
