The civil year crosses two liturgical years. Transfers and precedence below follow the official annual U.S. calendar.
- The Ascension is shown on Sunday, May 17, as observed in most U.S. dioceses. The ecclesiastical provinces of Boston, Hartford, New York, Omaha, and Philadelphia observe it on Thursday, May 14.
- The Visitation yields to the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity on May 31.
- The Immaculate Heart is an Optional Memorial on June 13 because it coincides with Saint Anthony of Padua.
