Renew your gift each morning.
Short Renewal of Consecration
I am all yours, and all that I have belongs to you, O my lovable Jesus, through Mary, your holy Mother.
Saint Louis de Montfort, True Devotion §233; our complete English edition.
Give the coming day to Jesus through Mary: its duties, consolations, crosses, and the people you will meet. Choose one concrete occasion to remember this gift. A brief renewal before that duty can carry the morning prayer into your life.
Through her, with her, in her, for her.
Montfort gathers the interior practice into four expressions, ordered wholly to union with Jesus. Receive them slowly. Begin with one, practice it faithfully, and ask the Holy Spirit to deepen the others. Read his full teaching in §§257–265.
Through Mary: ask her to lead.
Before prayer or work, renounce the pride that insists on its own way. Ask Mary to obtain the light and strength of the Holy Spirit, and place the action in her hands. Montfort recommends renewing this simple offering during the action and afterward. You do not need to feel sweetness for the gift to be real.
Today: Before your next duty, pause and renew your gift with St. Louis de Montfort.

St. Louis de Montfort · True Devotion to Mary §233With Mary: imitate her virtues.
Bring Mary’s example into the decision in front of you. Receive God’s word with faith. Imitate her humility by accepting correction, fulfilling your duties, and seeking God’s will rather than praise. Imitate her purity through chastity of body and soul, modesty, custody of the senses, and rejection of occasions of sin. Custody of the senses means guarding what you freely choose to watch, hear, and entertain. Perform your duty generously, even when it receives no notice.
Today: Put one concrete safeguard against a recurring temptation in place, and accept one correction without making excuses.
Read Montfort’s explanation. In Mary: remain with confidence.
Montfort describes Mary as a spiritual dwelling where Jesus forms His members. Ask the Holy Spirit for the grace to live in that maternal confidence. Return to her when fear, distraction, or temptation scatters your heart. Let her lead you into recollection, repentance, and dependence on Jesus. Her care makes the soul more faithful in its actual duties.
Today: When anxiety rises, recollect yourself for a moment with Mary. Entrust the difficulty to Jesus through her, then take the next faithful step.
Read Montfort’s explanation. For Mary: serve her Son’s kingdom.
Having given yourself to Mary, put your strength at her service. Honor her, make her known, defend true devotion, and help another soul receive her motherly care. Montfort names Jesus Christ as the final end of this service. Love for His Mother should make you generous toward the salvation of the people He places beside you.
Today: Pray for one person by name. Choose a fitting invitation: a decade together, a visit to church, or a lesson that answers a real difficulty.

Consecration reaches the whole person. It bears fruit in fidelity to the Church, the sacraments, the duties of your vocation, and charity toward your neighbor. Let your prayer support those duties. A rule you can keep faithfully is a good place to grow.
- Morning: renew the gift and offer the day.
- During the day: pray the Rosary and remember Mary before an important action. Begin with a faithful portion if you are learning, and grow toward five decades.
- In suffering: unite the cross you carry to Jesus through His Mother, and offer it for souls.
- Evening: thank God, examine your conscience, ask forgiveness, and name one resolution for tomorrow.
- Regularly: receive the sacraments faithfully, return to confession, keep Sunday Mass, and read a little from the saints.
This suggested daily order is an editorial help. Montfort’s preparation prayers belong especially to the preparation; the lifelong gift asks that your actual life become more and more His.
When you become distracted or fall.
Return promptly. Admit the fault, ask pardon, and take the next faithful step. If you have sinned gravely, prepare for sacramental confession. Do not wait to feel worthy before asking Mary’s help: ask her for the contrition and courage to return to her Son.
A dry prayer can still be faithful. A renewed resolution can still be sincere after failure. Montfort describes true devotion as constant: when a soul falls, it rises again by reaching out to its good Mother. Read §§109–110 on constancy and disinterested love.
Keep your anniversary with gratitude.
Montfort directs renewal of the same consecration at least each year on the same date, observing the same practices for three weeks (True Devotion 233). His annual instruction specifies the three weeks devoted to knowledge of self, Mary, and Jesus; it does not prescribe repeating the initial twelve days as part of that annual preparation.
Begin 21 days before the anniversary with days 13–19 of this companion, then continue through days 20–26 and days 27–33. On the anniversary, renew the full act with the sacramental preparation described above.
Daily and monthly renewal may be made with the short formula. These recurring offerings are meant to deepen love and fidelity; a calendar or completed checklist is not the consecration itself.
